Chiropody

“Energy flows where attention goes.”

Chiropody treatments help you gain added mobility and achieve long-term relief from foot-related discomfort and pain. Chiropody can also help prevent minor foot issues from turning into major health issues so you can live a more full and active life.

What is Chiropody?

Chiropody is a branch of medical science that involves the assessment, treatment, management and prevention of injuries, diseases or disorders of the foot and lower limbs, including the ankle and heel. In Ontario, Chiropodists are regulated under the College of Chiropodists of Ontario, and are required to take provincial board exams, as well as be licensed by the province in which they practice.

Foot deformities, infections and injuries not only limit your mobility and negatively impact your quality of life. If let untreated, foot problems can lead to major health issues, including joint damage arthritis and infection. That’s why it’s important to remember that foot pain is never normal – if you are experiencing discomfort, be pro-active and see a Chiropodist.

During your first visit, your Inside Out Wellness Centre Chiropodist will ask you about your history, perform a foot assessment and then recommend appropriate Chiropody treatments tailored specifically to your needs. Your treatment may also involve footwear/orthotic advice.
